Kello Masmouh an Arabic adaptation of the iconic Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes”

 

Scheduled for 2024, the stage at Beiteddine is set to come alive with “Kello Masmouh – The Musical” on July 23 and 24. This highly anticipated adaptation draws inspiration from the iconic Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes,” which has won over 50 international awards.

 

In this vibrant production, Lebanese star Carole Samaha captivates audiences with her dazzling performances, showcasing her exceptional talents in both singing and tap dancing alongside a troupe of professional dancers. Her portrayal of “Yasmina” promises to be a highlight, offering an enticing glimpse into her character’s journey within the musical.

 

Following the tremendous success of “Chicago in Arabic,” directed by Roy Khoury in 2023, which attracted over 15,000 attendees and made headlines in both Arab and international media—including a feature on the front page of The New York Times—Khoury returns with this highly anticipated theatrical endeavor: the masterpiece “Kello Masmouh – The Musical.” Joining Carole Samaha on stage is a stellar cast that includes Roy Khoury, Fouad Yammine, Joy Karam, Dory Semrani, Nour Helo, Charbel Sammour, Nazih Youssef, and many others.

 

This grand production marks Carole Samaha’s much-anticipated return to musical theatre after a 17-year hiatus. With a cast and crew of over 50 performers, the show boasts breathtaking stage design, an array of stunning costumes, and a live orchestra led by Elio Kallas, featuring musicians from diverse backgrounds.

 

“Kello Masmouh – The Musical” will run for just two days, starring Carole Samaha and written, directed, and co-starring Roy Khoury. The production is produced by Nayla Khoury and Pipeline Productions.
